I’m getting some odd results with the forum this morning. I made a post about my Waltons “Guinness” this morning before I left to take my daughter to school, and when I returned, I didn’t see it. It comes up if I run a search on “Waltons Guinness,” but it only shows up in the regular forum list if someone posts a reply to it (as Martin Milner did a short time ago). I even looked through several pages to see if it somehow got pushed way off the main page (didn’t seem likely, as there hadn’t been much activity since I posted it this morning, but figured it was worth a try), but it just wasn’t there unless I actually ran a search on the topic.
But it gets weirder. As I said, the post reappeared on my screen when Martin replied to it, but when I clicked on it, I couldn’t see Martin’s message…only my original post. I had to reload the page a couple of times before Martin’s reply showed up.
THEN, when I reloaded the main forum page, my post showed up again…but it was marked as “unread” and no longer indicated that it had any replies!
I haven’t noticed this with any other posts, but then I haven’t been on-line much yet this morning, so I haven’t gotten involved enough in any other thread to notice any strangeness. Is anybody else experiencing problems of this nature?
I just had to completely reload the forum to see THIS post. I also checked my Waltons post from this morning (which should have shown a minimum of five views and two replies, but only showed three views and no replies)…when I clicked on it the first time, I saw only my original post. I reloaded it and saw my original post and Martin’s reply. I had to reload it three times to see MY reply to Martin! And on the main page, it’s still showing three views and no replies.
And one more strange thing…when I look at who’s logged in this morning, I no longer see my name. It was there just a few minutes ago (and I haven’t left), but now it’s gone, at least from my view. I bet if I reload a few times, I’ll see it again, but this is mega-strange.
And one more tidbit of strangeness. I just went away from the board for a bit (to check out VegSource), came back, and didn’t see THIS thread anywhere. I had to hit reload twice before it appeared.
Yes - I am having lots of the same problems, but the only one that really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really bothers me is when I try to post within a few minutes of my last post, it tells me I can’t.
I have to log out and then log in again to post. Every time. Gah.
Adding to the cascade of weirdness…now, when I load the board, all the messages are showing as “read”…even brand-new ones that I haven’t even thought of clicking on yet!
BTW, Cranberry, is that gorgeous greyhound yours? I love greys…hope to adopt a retired racer someday.

I just tried to reply to a private message and got the same error message Cranberry has been getting–can’t post for a while. The last time I posted was hours ago!
I have to admit that when it first happened, I thought it was something Dich or Rale had done to keep me from posting so much but now I’m glad to see it’s happening to other people, too It’s annoying. :oP
