I am getting tired of not knowing wether I am ever gonna be so lucky as to own an Overton Low D, so here goes:
Does anybody want to sell me one privately?
I suspect not; but hey what’s the damage done in asking (besides looking like a complete ass in front of thousand of C&F’ers blinking their eyes in disbelief…“who would EVER part with their Overton Low D??? THAT level of poverty has never been seen!!”).
Anyway; if you do; please just contact me!
This is my email address:

I know this is going to make things even harder on you, but I just got a tunable low D from Colin and I have to say that is, to my taste, the nicest whistle I’ve ever played. I’ve owned 5 low Ds and sold them all because, though good, they weren’t quite right. This one is perfect in every way.
Get on Colin’s waiting list now.
Best,
Chris
Well… I’m going to put a disclaimer here just to say that all the other low Ds I owned were actually quite good, just not exactly what I was looking for. Tastes vary, however, and my favorite might be someone else’s least favorite, etc.
I hate posting this kind of thing because it makes it sound as if the low Ds by these other makers aren’t as good, when some of them were actually superb, just not quite tomy taste, at least at the time.
Anyways, I’ve owned, in this order:
-Ralph Cook
-Overton (I don’t know who made this one and I owned it a number of years ago before I really knew what I was doing playing low whistles… it was too hard a blower for me at the time)
-Copeland
-Burke
-Kerry Pro
And now I have my tunable Overton low D and this is the keeper.
Best,
Chris

Eivind please accept my humblest apologies, I did not mean to try and give you a sex change! I have a friend from Germany and her name is Einice so I just connected the two names because the spelling was similar. Again I am very sorry! Thanks for the pictures of your band - you all look great!! Do you have any sound clips we could listen to?
I wish you all the best in closing the other deal…
here are some mp3’s; they were recorded live on a rehearsal early december, in front of two dynamic mics covering all six members of the band. Hence, the mix may be a bit unbalanced from time to time
