Mmm hmmm…I didn’t see them live (I was one of those poor souls that wasn’t allowed to go to rock concerts, unless it was Hall and Oats with my mother 
Oh, wait, I did see Wang Chung but that one was lame), BUT do not lump me with those punk wannabes that didn’t do U2 until the 90s 
(when, btw, they started to pretty much suck out anyway). U2 was totally at their best in the early 80s, but after the Joshua Tree, they really went downhill (in my humble opinion anyway ). I liked them almost as much as I liked Siouxsie and the Banshees

I’m not sure I see the humour in a bunch of 300 pounders looking for men to rain from the skies, but I did get a great laugh being reminded of funny songs like Turning Japanese and Walk Like an Egyptian. I never saw the videos to any of these as I spent most of the 80s without a tv, but I had a radio going constantly. There’s enough great songs to make a very eclectic tune collection on a few CDs here.

Well, here I was, scanning the lists thinking , there’s nothing I really want to see again and then there it was- Language of Love by Dan Fogleberg. I remember the video because in addition to liking the song, I found the bass player mesmerizing.
