Par,
Is your headjoint fully lined or just partial lining?
Fully lined.
Thanks for sharing, Par. All-Ireland title aside, Marcus Hernon is a great player. Those clips are very inspiring. You can’t get any better endorsement for a flute than that!
It was neat to see Feenish. I have the CD by that title with Marcus and his brother, P.J., plus guests.
Cheers,
Aaron
I agree.
Just met up with Pär this weekend and had achance to try out his Hernon. What a nice flute it was!
I’ll write a few lines about this experince in a separate thread.
First thing I did when I got back home was to check out this video clip again.
I just can’t get over the ease that he is playing these tunes with.
Looks like he is watching the kitchen tv and unconsciously playing something from the back of his spine.
The “Ivy leaf” is amazing and even in my dreams I dont play it half as good.

Ojvoj, a question about mr. Hernon’s playing: does he turn in the head or does he play the flute with the embouchure hole lined with the tone holes?
Victor.
Hello Victor,
Marcus turn in the head just a little bit.
