Very small information on a very attractive Low whistle

I’m talking about T&G whistles…

Have searched the forum and found nothing - only what is on the C&F site.

Anyone has one? How is it? I saw a picture and it looks mad attractive - anodized aluminium? that’s a black color
Do they sound as good as they look ?

Thanks for the info,
Philip

PS: their site is dead - http://www.tgirishwhistles.com/

This one is hard to keep track of. I’ve spotted them here and there, but have not heard from the builders in years.

Looked up the address in the Internet Archive data base (Google-Wayback Machine). Here is a link to their page the last time the site was archived [March 5, 2005]:

There are phone numbers and other contact information found at the top of that page… good luck with your search, hope that it helps.

Denis thanks alot.

I was hoping more if someone actually tried the whistle and could tell something about it.

I guess no one?

Doc Jones has one here: http://www.irishflutestore.com/POFlutes.html

So he can probably tell you a bit about how they sound/play.

I borrowed a T&G anodized whistle from a friend for a couple of weeks. I didn’t like it. Come to think of it, I don’t like any of my low whistles all that much. At least less than most other people.

I have a Susato non-tunable and a Burke Viper and they are okay. I say they are both better than the T&G I tried, but it was several years ago. Perhaps I am just a better musician now and that is all there is to it. Good luck.
