I’m looking for a tunebook but i would like to have in this book the stories of tunes and informations about tunes, composers, do you know if a such book exists ?

Many, many of the Fiddler’s Companion entries include ABCs of the tunes, drawn from the Henrik Norbeck collection and other good transcription sources. It’s also easy enough to mix and match for yourself.
Yes, of course. CRÉ is a standard source, but the original notes are in Irish. Nigel Gatherer, Paul de Grae and others have kindly made English translations available online:

Again, as nice as the CRÉ collection is at a cost of $100+, an alternative is to mix and match Breathnach’s notes with your own favorite tune sources.
I have all three volumes of Breathnach’s Ceol Rinc na Eireann for sale; the price would be about half whatever they’d cost new.
However, MTGuru is correct; the text is in Irish. Translations can be found on the web.

I could also mention that the Ed Reavy ABC collection, compiled by Ed Reavy Jr., contains extensive notes on the origin and naming of the tunes.

The abcs are nice, but a lot of them unfortunately are very poorly written, and don’t match the book or just don’t work when you convert them to sheet music. I also like having a hard copy for when the power or internet go out!
I know the book is available, as I just bought a copy this winter. All the notes included in the abcs are in the book and are taken from the three cassette recording of Joseph Reavy playing all his dad’s tunes. They are the spoken introduction to the tunes. I don’t know if the tapes are available from Paul or elsewhere… They are a must have though!
