Triskedecaphobia confessional

This year my own birthday happens on a Friday the 13th.

And, it’s not the first time it has done so.

It can’t have been, or else you would still be a child.

Annual route inspection today so I hauled the boss with me all day.
Not a bad day.
Tomorrow starts a month of the horror of Mail Count… :boggle:

When I was a kid I lived on a farm. I had spent some time in the haybarn taming a litter of 4 farm kittens and one was so tame he would come out of his nest in the bales, sit on my shoulder and purr. I was working hard on my parents to let me make him into a house cat.

On Friday 13th I came home from school and the tractorman’s dog had got in and killed the kittens.

I’ve never liked Friday 13th since.

On the up side, yesterday we had a really cracking day at work, sorting out new premesies and our future for our business.

Infernal, that was a horrible experience, indeed! I can understand not liking the date.

I’ve had several dates that were very hard for several years after something very bad had happened, but at least as many dates that were very special because of very good things.

The original reason Friday the 13th is thought to be so unlucky is that a group of crusaders fought a battle that did not go particularly well for them that day. I have never heard that in Islam Friday the 13th is conversely felt to be a particularly good day, though. Some of my Islamic friends would probably tell me Islam is too logical to encourage such superstitions.

Wow, I completely missed it! We had an entirely average day yesterday.
