Tribal Earth low D whistle

I purchased a low D whistle on ebay, and I am curious as to whether anyone else has purchased this whistle and what their reaction is to it.

For $18.95 including postage, the whistle seems to play fairly well. However, it is made in India and purportively is made from PVC. But on inspection, it doesn’t look like any PVC that I have ever seen. When I filed the finger holes, it powders like plywood. To me, it looks and smells like it is made from a phenyl resin pipe, which probably is toxic. Before I play it anymore, I would like to get some feedback.

I have one in Bb. Hard to tell what it’s made out of. But no wierd smells, or tingling lips. Not bad. Fairly playable. Not chiffy enough. Low air.

I have one in A and one if F. It’s quiet and not very well-finished, but the tone is consistent, pure and nice.
