Some member might be interested in a file I’ve written, outlining a simple system of tablature for the whistle.
Although it’s no substitute for stave notation, tablature can be useful if you’re having difficulties learning to sight read. It can also be handy for annotating difficult passages of fingering in a tune. As a wee bonus, there’s even a couple of tunes thrown in: The Kylebrack Rambler (a reel), and a jig: The Old Walls of Liscaroll (with suggestions as to how to play it in 4 separate keys on the whistle!).
