So, I think I can come back. Mary (Whistlin’ Dixie) said we are like a family. I never realized how true that was, until I left the forum. I have been lurking the past couple days and have seen the now deleted post and what happened afterwards. That made me consider leaving the forum for good, but when I saw some of you stick up for me, I realized that things will calm down.
I would like to thank those of you who have seen my position and supported me. Especcially those who I have spoken to through PM or email.
I also saw David Levine’s (no relation) thread in which he says:
I would like to say to him. I cannot accept posts that attack me, from someone who doesn’t know me.
What does it matter if I am 17? Respect is still respect, no matter what age the person is.
Don’t get all too smug now, things may not be as quiet as they seem. People being quiet doesn’t mean they are disagreeing with what was being said here by various posters. It means they were were keeping out of it. Gary and David command a lot more respect around here than yourself and your not gaining yourself any by going on the way you do.
this is just like a family, although about now, my mom would be bringing in a still warm great big giant apple pie (the size of a sheet cake) and we’d have vanilla ice cream on the side and we would just all eat the pie and ice cream and forget what happened. that’s what family’s do. now, i ask, where’s the pie?
I have resisted commenting on our friend Avery, but if you care to do a google search on his web name you can find that he is a habitual poster on many music sites.
He claims to play and know about a shed load of instruments.
Do the search, read his twaddle, I can’t think it is really worth loosing David to the board for saying what is only the unvarnished truth.
I say this as one who has been at the wrong end of David’s unvarnishedness!
