I wished to inform the whistle community here that for now I have ceased posting recordings, and don’t plan to resume until certain personal goals have been met.
I would like to offer thanks to everyone who has listened to my recordings in the past, and especially to those who have offered comments, criticisms, and suggestions.
Tali, azalin may not have read all the books on flying airplanes (especially indian ones) but he’s flown enough airplanes to know what he’s talking about.
I’ll take Azalin posts over anybody else’s cause they are the most entertaining. Az we had a where’s azalin thread on the pub that you might get a few laughs out of.
Whats with the racial references, Darlin? And what war are you referreing to?
The fact is I enjoy peeplj’s music posts more than your posts (including your first post in this topic).
It is just a matter of taste, nothing to fight over …
If I can use Azalin’s “guerilla” metaphor, its probaby because some unidentified, heavily camouflaged group has been sniping at poor peeplj without leaving a trace.
Peeplj’s “white hanky” here does little for us poor villagers who love his audio clips and his right to post them.
Once again the right to free expression has been ridden rough shod by invisible forces …
Nobody made me do this. Nobody has even recently suggested it.
Nobody said anything mean to me. Nobody has recently been critical of me.
What did happen is after feeling worse and worse about how sour some of my interactions with folks here on the boards have been, and how much I regretted it, I sent some folks a very sincere apology, including acknowledging how much of a jerk I’ve sometimes been.
My not posting tunes to the boards was meant as a kind of peace offering; I still have flutesite to post to, so I guess it’s really just a gesture…but so is a handshake, or a hug. A gesture can have a lot of meaning…or, at least , I hope so.
I would take it as a personal favor if everyone just lets this go. The last thing I want is for this to stir up any kind of controversy, or to create any bad feelings.
I hope that the folks the gesture was meant for do understand: I have heard what you have to say and you have often been right, and I’m trying to do something about it.
