I played this on my no key Hunter D (palosanto wood). I lovely fit between the reed and chanter.
Unfortunately, I have not been playing much these days, so bear with me:

Sounds very fine. I have ordered some cane to from Joseph. Have always used spanish cane.
Whats the name of the tune?.
Ole
The tune is “The College Groves”. Nice tune. Nice reed too.
Sounds great.
I recently received a nice box of cane from Joseph. Last weekend I made up a bunch of blanks which I’m planning to finish this weekend. If one of them sounds as good as this recording, I’ll be very happy.
I found Joseph’s cane was relatively easy to gouge and shape. It was also nice and springy (although I didn’t apply RoryBellows’ scientific test).
Try this one too. Played on the same day-
Again: Hunter (keyless) Palosanto Chanter

People laughed when I suggested my method for testing cane springyness .But soon, all reed cane springyness will be classified on the RoryB scale .
So when I’m rich and famous and rule the world, who’ll be laughing then ?
RORY
I’ve heard that LiamO’Flynn uses Rory’s method.
