"The Irish Bagpipes: Their Construction and Maintenance"

Has anyone built a set of pipes from this book? If so how did it go?

You’ll find mixed feelings about the usefulness of this book. It’s a great reference book (though Thomas Kannmacher’s book comes to mind as a must have before W. Garvin’s), but in my opinion if you can build a good, working set of pipes from that book you can build one from the measurements you’ll find scattered around the net.

On that note, it’s worth saying it’s a good book to own, especially if you can find it cheap.

It’s a great coffee table book…

Ok, So has anyone ever made a set of pipes from any design? I am thinking of giving it a go.
