A bit vague in the title but seem to recall that this man is a collector of Rudall Carte flutes can anyone give an eMail addy or contact info Michael Flaherty (sp?)
http://www.michaelflatley.com/contact/
Probably the info@michaelflatley.com will do. Explain what you want and ask to be directed to Mr. Flatley’s secretary for any appropriate action. I have an email address for the individual in that position, but it’s nearly 9 years old.
Thanks KK sent an email I’ll let you know if anything comes from it.
Flatley is more a collector of Rudall & Rose flutes than Rudall Carte ones, so far as his reputation goes. I don’t have any factual information on what his collection includes, but the general impression is not that he collects much other than R&R concert flutes.

He has been known to scoop up sets of pipes, one Rowsome set he donated to Na Piobairi Uilleann. It’s very hard telling who is buying what.
Fair enough. I was thinking exclusively about flutes, and I know Neil isn’t (normally) interested in flutes other than band flutes. I don’t know for sure, as stated, but I rather doubt MF has any Rudall Carte “modern” (Böhm and post-Böhm) system flutes of any size or much, if anything in the way of band flutes. But I am only speculating. Perhaps Neil will find out… If you don’t ask, you don’t get. If you ask and get no or a negative answer, you’re no further ahead but you’ve lost nowt.

A student of mine forwarded me an article from “The Daily Mail Weekend” last year which was an interview with Michael Flatley in which he was quoted as saying " I collect antique wooden flutes. I have about [sic ] 50, and I like nothing more than to mix the perfect martini and play a couple" [ presumably not at the same time, but who knows ? ].
Email sent with Read box ticked, no reply as yet nor it seems likely? All the RC F piccolos or most I had noted ended up in Dublin, 7 Queen Street:-) but no further notations on where they went individually. I had hoped if he was into flutes he could have assisted track one down.
