The Chiff & Fipple GOOD CALL OF THE WEEK (TM)

Good Call

I think he’s not running because they told him he wasn’t allowed to wear that coat if he were president :stuck_out_tongue:

Seems like a good idea for a sticky.

I know very little about the subject matter here but an old man who wants to see out his days fishin’ and playing with his grandkids seems like a good a way to go.

Slan,
D.

Well… My 12 year old will sleep better now… LOL…

How sad. It would be very good to finally have a president called Dick. He would be The Most Powerful Dick In The World.

I thought that the current incumbent held that title already

Slan,
D.

Ah… how quickly they forget… already had that… “Tricky Dick(y) Nixon”… though I’m in agreement with Dubhlinn… the current one seems to have earned that title despite being named George.

what’s really sad is that soon enough, people will begin to think the names are interchangeable :stuck_out_tongue:

Shhh… we’re not supposed to talk about that other Dick.

  … I mean… Sssssshhhhhh

We can at least be thankful for that.

I thought he already IS President…

HNah… you’ve gotten him confused wtih Rove… He’s president…

Tricky Dick wasn’t all that bad, just a liar, that’s all. W, on the other hand, is simply a dim-witted shill for corporate interests. The sad part is that he doesn’t realize it. He thinks that he was chosen by God to be president. In truth, there was a lot of talk behind closed doors in corporate boardrooms across the country, deciding who might be a good candidate to promote their goals. The corporate goal is to maximize profits at the expense of the poor and oftentimes unsuspecting working person and against the best interests of the long-term viability of this country. Because of his family name, personal charisma, and intellectual slowness, W was chosen to carry the banner for corporate America, and it is not a coincidence that Dick Cheney was suggested as his vice president.

Exactly.

While I’ve been more willing to accept the idea that he’s not dim-witted, he is a a shill for corporate interests. At our house, when we watch the news, we play “follow the money.” With the exception of a few of the occasional bones he throws his “moral values” base, virtually every decision made by the Bush administration results in money flowing into corporations & the private sector. Try this at home.

Same here, and it always flows up … funny huh? NOT!
