The Amazing SlowDowner

I just got The Amazing SlowDowner from the Whistle and Drum site a couple of days ago. It is truly “amazing”. How many of you already have this? I’ve spent the last few years learning tunes played at “warp” speed. This is much, much, much easier. AAHhhh!!

Amazing Slow Downer is a wonderful tool for wav and MP3 formats.

If you are looking for a program to slow down those midi files, go to http://www.vanbasco.com/ and download the free player there. Does pretty much the same as Slow Downer…only it’s FREE.

Good luck.

Mike

I will make my standard plug for TRANSCRIBE, available from:

http://www.seventhstring.demon.co.uk/

There is a free thirty day trial, after which you can pay what I recall was $40.00 to acquire it and have access to updates, help, etc. I think these programs are like word processing software or digital photography software–people like the one they happen to know, which is often the first one they tried. TRANSCRIBE has assisted me significantly in (at least) my ability to transcribe from recorded music and (possibly) with my playing as well. The latter is not for me to say, but the former is.
