Well, folks, I’ve seen a couple of annoying moderator situations on other boards lately that reminded me how appreciative I am for the way Rich handles his role here.
On one board the main moderator constantly corrects people to the point that she replies to more than half of the posts. It’s unbelievable.
On the other, the moderator works for one of the companies being discussed (kinda like if Rich worked for Generation) (he doesn’t right?!) (oh man, I just set someone up for a great one liner) (what’s with all these parentheses) (sorry, can’t help myself)
Anyway, if someone so much as hints that THAT company’s products are subpar, the guy steps in and declares the posts unsubstantiated/bitter/way off topic.
The job of moderator is akin to that of the referee at the football game; if he does his job well, nobody should notice him.
