An Artist Takes you a on Journey Through Magical Ireland
In his enchanting travel diary Tea in Connemara, artist, author and Irish piper
Lewis Blevins uses prose, music and art to transport the reader to Western Ireland
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE– Discover the wonder of Ireland through the travel journey
entries of artist and Irish piper Lewis Blevins, in his enchanting book Tea in Conneman.
Many travel guides point out the must-see sights of a place, but they don’t really give you an
intimate or personal perspective. Author, artist and piper Lewis Blevins is about to change
that. Using music, art and his own journal entries, he gives readers a “you-are-there” guide to
Western Ireland, in his warm and gently humorous travel diary, Tea in Connemara. Blevins
guides readers through Ireland’s beautiful countryside and fascinating towns, peppering his
descriptions with personal anecdotes of the people he meets and the bagpipe tunes he plays.
From Clare to Donegal, Blevins gives readers a unique look at the quaint pubs, the pristine
lakes, and even provides advice for those contemplating the ascent of Irelands holiest of all
mountains.
Whether Blevins is stopping to paint a picture in oils or to play some tunes on his beloved
Irish bagpipes, he presents a marvelous perspective on a wonderful country and its people.
This charming guide is filled with gorgeous reproductions of Blevins’ own oil paintings, and
offers delightful note-for-note transcriptions of the tunes from Irish bagpipe recordings
collected during his travels. Tea in Connemara is a fabulous journey to a magical country,
one which the reader will never forget.
