I have a, barely used Susato Low D, with a case, that I will sell for $50 US + S&H. (They are anywhere between $62 and $70 US new).
It’s a really nice whistle, but since I don’t play it at all, someone else might as well enjoy it, and I can use the money for other investments (Olwell Bamboo Flute)
I believe that it is the Kildare model - at least it looks like the ones in the Whistle Shop. It is the brown one.
I would take $75 Cdn +S&H. I paid $95Cdn + 15% taxes for it a couple of months ago, so it’s a pretty good deal. Like I mentioned earlier it is barely used.
Where do you live?
(ie how much would shipping cost to Ontario?)
As well, when I went to check out a susato it was only 75$ new, so which version do you have? is it tunable, how much better is it?
I live in Ottawa. I bought it at the Folklore Centre in June for $95. If you can get one for $75 then go for it - that’s a good deal.
It is a tuneable model. I believe it is the ‘Kildare’ model, although I could be mistaken. It looks like the pictures on the Whistle Shop site. It is definitely not the ‘Dublin’ model.
Yeah Mark, it is still the only place that sells any kind of Celtic instruments in Ottawa that I know of. It doesn’t have a great variety when it comes to whistles though - mostly Feadogs and Sweet Tones.
