FS: New Susato Kildare low D. Sold.

During the second week of December 2008 I decided to give myself, as a Christmas present, a Susato Kildare low D. I ordered it from the Canadian store North Heritage Music, which also sells on E-Bay and that has, in my personal experience, outstanding customer service.
The brand new low D whistle was shipped on December 17th. Well, December went on and I did not receive the whistle. January went on and I did not receive the whistle.
The Canadian store filed a postal claim and, kindly, refunded me.
I forgot about the whistle and bought other ones, including a Dixon, and an Overton that I like very much.
Today, February 24th, I opened my mail box and, with my great surprise, I saw a fat yellow envelope from Canada.
Guess what: the Susato low D was in it, well wrapped and in perfect shape, with its postage stamp dated December 17th !
It took just two months and one week for it to travel from Canada to Michigan !
Any way, I currently own many whistles and I don’t feel the need to have another one… I called the Canadian store and we agreed that I will sell the Susato locally (so that we will both avoid to pay for the shipping expenses back to Canada).
It is in my house, untouched, brand new, with its vinyl bag, the Susato grease stick for the joint, and the thumb rest. A Susato Kildare low D whistle is generally sold for $89.00 plus shipping, I am thinking to ask for $ 69.00 including shipping in the United States. If someone is interested, please PM me or e-mail me at gpavone@comcast.net. I can also send pictures if needed. Thanks !

Update on 2/25/09: sold. Thank you.

i’ve purchased many whistles from Mike and Debby at North Heritage Music in Canada. I cannot begin to say enough wonderful things about them and their customer service. Fabulous people. Fabulous service.

(i’m not affiliated with the store… i’m just an incredibly happy customer of several years.)

be well,

jim

Jim I definitely agree. When I contacted Debbie to inform that I finally received the whistle, Debbie asked me to keep it for free, because they had already filed a claim. Very honest people, with great communication and friendly customer service.

I love Canada, but I don’t have great faith in our postal department. Important stuff is best sent by private courier, in my opinion.
