Sterling Silver Copeland Low D SOLD!

Hi, guys. I have a relatively new (a few months old) sterling silver Copeland Low D that I would sell to a willing buyer for what I paid - $650 plus shipping. It’s in perfect condition, a beautiful thing with a flutey sound. I find that I prefer the flute over the Low whistle. If interested, follow the e-mail link below.

The whistle is sold…thanks for everything.

Bump

Bumpety bump.

Hi Jessie, I’m just curious about the weight difference between the silver and the brass one.

The silver one is a little heavier.

Thanks for the bumps, people.

I think I remember that Jim R
said the silver weighs 10 ounces.

Are you lads and lasses let this dream whistle end for grabs by some sniper-anonymous money-maker on eBay ?
I’m actually sorry that Jessie–don’ t forget she’s the original cutie-pie of them all!–lets this cream-dream-beam-ovawhizle go. And for–what?–an ordinary flute? Consistent swap in its way  OK but a loss for this whistle board in the long end.

And I’m surprised it hasn’t be grabbed yet! season hangover? I would almost would have taken it (if she’d allow it to go to such a screw-you jerk as me froggie  ), if I weren’t from very recent the more than very happy owner of a wood low D (thanks NickT !!!) with all the chiff, pops and wind I ever dreamt of (so, little to do with a Copeland…). And cocobolo smells like the very bast (for my teste) Havana–Bolivar! Now I can’t stop smoking (and save, for the price of a single box of 25 high Bb aka double-coronas) and still enjoy the best. And it sounds as a goddam whistle, you flute kkknigggetts!

Then I understand this sale this way. You like flute, don’t want learn flute and still play sessions ? Grab it. I never heard it in silver, though—juss in copper. But I sense this one can’t possibly sound worse than copper. And I’d better chew or smell sterling…

Why don’t you Jessie post a MP3 of some standard tune through this Copeland low D? Now, we all DO know you CAN play, and how!

  • Sorry, all I’d be willing to trade is a tenor keyed baroque (white and black, all the cutie trimmings included…) plastic-wind recorder [sheepish smile] the rest of my fipple-thing tubes you’d care for I keep for me. Though, note the ghost F of this Aulos in C is very bluesy… :frowning:

Juss my usual (=lengthy) way of bumping this up…

Holiday hangover is right. I’d love any Copeland low D, and sterling silver, well that would be the ultimate. Sturob’s Healy fife is another temptation. Unfortunately, my adherence to a pledge to a credit card-free Christmas has left me short of ready cash.

By the way, I’m getting worried about myself. I just read through Zoob’s post without once questioning its meaning. Not that I understood all of it, I just seemed to have stopped questioning.

All I said is, given how the copper sounds like, can’t see how the silver can be anything else than a winner.

Sorry I talk kinda funny

edited as just an attempt for spelling…

No apology necessary! I love your posts, Zoob. Creative use of language is a wonderful thing. So is making people think.

Jim

Zubivka, I don’t think you’re a jerk anymore. I think you and I accidentally ended up on either side of a bad argument. Since then, I have found your posts to be mostly positive and definitely entertaining. I’d like for us to agree to be over that. What do you think?

I am not in a place where I can do a recording (just my laptop here). I didn’t bring the whistle to Nashville last week. Anyone can call me and I’ll play it over the phone if you want. My phone number is on my website (follow the www link below).

I seldom think.

Even less on Monday mornings after Christmas holidays.
But I do agree

Bumpety bump bump.

i’d be buying this if I was still making ‘internet money’

(Likely more than the seller) I hope this sells soon.

…my resolve is weakening…

It’s not possible that nobody wants this. Bump.

Oh, we all want it. However, I suspect that at $650, people are not as likely to buy this on an impulse.

Hey…
