Well guys, I have a special announcement for you, but first some background:
I had started the Tin Whistle Page about 5 years ago, and it was quite
successful. Dale Wisley’s Chiff and Fipple came on the scene about the same time. I had maintained the site for about 2 years, and it did pretty well. I had fun with it, and I think it looked pretty good.
Then disaster struck, when my AOL account (that the site was on) was mistakenly shut down, wiping out the site. I had too much going on to try to rebuild the site,find a web host, and so on; it was just too much, so I just put it off.
Well, I kinda got into to the whistle scene again recently, and now am a
stay-at-home dad,plus I design websites, so i thought it was time to dream big again. Dale’s site is the number one site on the net, no doubt. I personally feel that the site has waytoo much emphasis on the whistles themselves, whereas I think the emphasis should be on the music. That’s what the new site’s focus will be on. I’ll have some whistle stuff on there, of course, but not the heavy emphasis as on Chiff and Fipple.
So friends, I would like to announce the impending laucnh of “Sorrows of the Stones” !
I think you will find the site design to be very nice, both visually and
functionally.
Watch for the announcement of the launch coming in about a month’s time, God willing!
