Mark your calendars, the Southern California Tionól is scheduled for the weekend of November 6-8 in sunny San Juan Capistrano. Our guest line-up includes Kevin Rowsome, Ivan Goff and Benedict Koehler, with selected cameo appearances by David Quinn. I can neither confirm nor deny rumors of a performance by The Patsy Touhey Experience.

Wow…that’s a great discount in price offered for early registration! It pays to plan in advance. Flights are also cheaper booked in advance… round trip from Seattle (for example) can be had for as low as $278 and round trip from Oakland as low as $120 if booked at least 3 weeks ahead. No discount at Pedro’s Tacos for ordering early…

Rats, I was thinking about making the trip out, but alas, I’ve got something going on that weekend. Maybe next year!

It’s going to be a great weekend! I’m really looking forward to meeting Kevin Rowsome, along with seeing Benedict and David again! The SCUPC are such a great bunch! They were so welcoming and supportive back around 2000 when I started on the pipes, and still remain that today. Hope to see you all there.

Anyway, I’ll be bringing cane along with me again this year. The club was very kind to last year to allow me to sell cane.
