Something happened to the burglar

My mom’s next door neighbor was burglarized on Christmas eve while he was out. Also, a house across the street from my mom. We got an alarm system set up for my mom right away and nothing’s happened, thankfully. Then, my sister emails us all and says, cryptically, “At least the guy who robbed Ben’s place is out of the picture. What a way to go!”

I emailed back, asking, What are you talking about?

I don’t know if it’s relevant to the story that Ben is a machine gunner veteran from the Korean war and a bit of a redneck from Arkansas. (I say that with all due respect.)
To be continued.

they shot him dead, that’s what. This is probably the same guy who I almost caught stealing my porch chair at 5:30 a.m. a month or so ago. (I heard a noise, but by the time I got up, he was driving away with my $200 Skychair). That was his m.o. Also, when my car was stolen from my driveway, it was found in Rodeo, his hometown. I am heartbroken at his demise…NOT!.

[story]

And, a half-hour before his law enforcement encounter, a truck was broken into up on Hillcrest, a mile away.

IF he was the one who took my car, he got my OBrian tweaked Feadog that Blackhawk gave me. Karma, man.

He had it all wrong! He was supposed to hammer out the love between his brothers and his sisters all over this land…!

Or, wait a minute, was that “Bang-Bang Maxwell”?

It says he was 37. How could he be a Korean war veteran?

Anyway, good riddance to scum. I have been burgled so many times no insurance company will touch me (3 times in 20 years). I have no tolerance for these vermin, and its certainly not as if they are an endangered species.

Tony was talkin’ about the neighbor who got robbed, not the suspect.

Also, about a week ago, a stolen car was torched right across the street at midnight (I live a block below Tony’s mom). It burned brightly. No investigation, of course. The neighbors are freaked out by these latest developments.

I agree. He looks cute, but there’s nothing cute about that hammer.
