Well that went quick. Thanks!
I have decided to sell my beloved Williams D chanter, mainly because I have to eat.
I got this beautiful chanter just before Dave left us, so it must be one of his last.
Ebony, boxwood and stainless steel, fitted with Cnat and F keys and a stop key.
Plays wonderfully, with a rich and somewhat loud tone, typical of his work.
It was made like Jarlath Hendersons chanter (because I tried his and liked it).
It has served me well over these past few years, very reliable and easy to tune, and I really hate to see it go.
I have a bunch of reeds to throw in, all of them working - some better than others - in different climates.
This is a real gem, hope to give it a new home where it will be cared for as much as it deserves.
I paid 1150 pound sterling, and that is what I intend to take, sort of a deposit to be the guardian of such an instrument untill it is left to others to care for it.
PM or email me if you have questions.
