It hurts me to give these up so fast, but sometimes life steamrolls you and there’s nothing you can do, right? I will be back to this piping thing at a better financial time in life…for now it’s the old guitar and the $7 whistle.
Ok, enough whining…the product. CJ Dixon practice set in D, just bought in October. Played 3 or 4 times, they play very nicely and in tune. Chanter is rosewood & keyless, with imitation ivory mounts. Bellows is beautiful, with CJ’s brass hinge upgrade. Bag with ABW stocks, and with a black velvet bag cover. Two extra reeds by our very own modergator JES, in addition to the reed already playing nicely in the chanter. Popping strap (ok, it’s a piece of leather), navy blue hardcase with combo locks. Nice red interior. Every tutor a beginner would need: the Clarke tutor (complete with CD), the Spillane tutor book, and the NPU Volume 1 DVD.
Asking $1200 for all (or highest bidder, haha)…a beginner will have everything they need for years, at least until it’s drone time.
