The flute is SOLD!
Well, it looks like I need to let this one go, to help pay for another flute I recently purchased. Price is $225 + $12 shipping in the continental USA, sale limited to the US only. All wooden, no tuning slide as are all his Folk Flutes, but can be tuned by simply pulling the head out as needed. New price is now $295, and a wait of about 15-18 weeks.

Edited to add, this flute has inline holes, not the ergonomic offset holes. It’s not a difficult spacing for normal hands, but if you have small hands, the ergonomic are better. Although, if you want to use piper’s grip on the bottom, inline is easier. It’s actually hard to find one with the inline holes, as some people do prefer them for this reason.
It’s a really nice flute, nice firm tone, with some back pressure, so it allows you to lean into it a bit without blowing out your windows or ears!
But it has all the volume you need; it’s just not piercing! A newer one I had before did not have the back pressure like this one, which I like a lot.
The Mopane on this one seems to be very dense and hard-with a tighter and smoother grain than I’ve seen before. It’s darkened to a rich red-brown. It’s from the end of 2003, owned by one Chiffer since new until I got it recently in a trade. It’s in excellent condition-very well taken care of, and no dings or scrapes!
Also included is a great Oak case, from Lark in the Morning, with a retail of $90-and it’s very solid and well made.
US Postal Money Order is preferred, but you may use PayPal (even with a credit card) if you include the 3.5% additional charge (+$7.87).
Thanks for looking, Email or PM with inquiries.
