FOR SALE - CASEY FOLK FLUTE

Hello, I am offering a Casey Folk Flute made of beautiful mopane. The flute was made in 2008 and I purchased it from Doug Tipple in June of '09.

The flute is made in 2 pieces; not 3 as Casey does now. The 3rd and 6th finger holes are slightly off center making the reach very comfortable.

I found out that I can’t play the flute well at all.

For now I am going to stick with my pipes and whistle.

I am not looking to make any profit - just the same price that I paid for it… $250 + S/H

No dents or scratches - it’s in great condition.

Thanks!

Mike forgot to mention Casey’s last name. This is a nice playing flute made by Casey Burns and offered at a good price.

I wouldn’t give up on the flute. At first, I thought I would just stick to whistle, but I kept on at it, and I am glad I did. I hardly ever pick up a whistle now.

  • bump * The Casey Burns Folk flute is still available - $250 is a great price for a great flute !

Could you put up a picture of the embouchure hole?

Hi there. How does it sound? I have an M&E blackwood. Do you think this Burns would sound better, or at least different? How much is s&h to los angeles?
Thanks very much,\Jay

Jay, where in L.A. are you?

Have I met you before?

I’ll get a picture added soon - by I notice it is exactly the same as pictured on Casey Burns web site…http://www.caseyburnsflutes.com/ff.php

Jay Doc - I can’t and won’t say it is better then M&E - but I am sure it is different. Listen to the above web site for sound and tone. The audio link is based on the 2 piece Mopane casey flute that I have. If you buy the flute from me - I’ll let you know what the S+H is once I send it.

All the best,

Thanks !
