Shelf Cloud Over Saskatchewan

What are the little white specks?

seagulls

too early…sorry

Are you sure? so far inland? We have them here, but we’re just an hour away from the coast.

Also, I zoomed in on the picture a little closer, and they don’t look aerodynamic enough to be seagulls.
In fact I’m surprised they can fly at all!

ah, pixels

ha!

Flying pixel gulls. More than likely, they are compression artifacts. At least that is all we can see of them. They may have been gulls at one time. The photo looks to have been heavily compressed before it was loaded on the web, and the camera is from 2000 at the latest. Just download the original pic and go to work on the white spots. They spoil the rest of it, anyway.

I assumed that someone had scanned an old fashioned 5x7 print of a
photograph, and there was a little dust on the scanner or on the print.
That’s what I always get when I scan photos.

They’re actually flying monkeys in their white (summer) plumage.

That could have been it, also.

or worse…

Eek! It’s the deadly “white boxes”!!! There must be an Iranian speedboat hiding in that cloud!!!

:really:

That’s a new term for me-- could you put up an example?

Saskatchewan seems like one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Looks sort of like a Borg Cube to me.

You have met the Dyslexic Borg: your @ss will be l@min@ted.

I tried really hard not to laugh at that-- but resistance is futile

Oh! BTW, Denny was right about there being gulls in Saskatchewan!

Farm land…people plant seeds, gulls eat.

There is quite a bit of water about up there.

Awesome people, too. I’ve never met a flatlander I didn’t like.

There’s a lot to like about a society whose response to the depression was inventing medicare.
