My friend, a concertina player, is traveling to Ennis in two weeks. Are there any sessions that someone might know of in the area? I notice there are several posters from Ireland as well as frequent visitors to Ireland.

He’d better go next week when the Ennis trad fest is on, there will be hundrds of sessions then.
It will be easy enough to find session any time of the week, monday in Brandon’s (with Eion O Neill if you fancy that) is a good starting point, Queen’s hotel, anywhere. Walk into Custy’s music shop, they’ll sort you out for the local music.
