I am going to DC over St. Pat’s weekend and I was looking on the sessions web site to find any sessions that are meeting while I am there. I found Nanny O’Brien’s Pub. They play on Mondays and they are just up the way from me. I found Mc Ginty’s Public House and they say that they are going to have an all day St. Pat’s thing…I am not really looking for that sort of thing though, it sounds way too big for me. I found an interesting one that meets at Auld Shebeen Pub in Fairfax, Va. They are set up as an intermediate level session…I could fit in there I think but I couldn’t get up on their site. Does anybody know if they are still doing their session? Maybe someone from this forum plays with them and could let me know. If there are any other sessions or maybe better sessions than I have found that I could go to as a non player I would appreciate any information. I know a lot of sessions don’t really need another very low level intermediate to mess up their tunes but I will have my tape recorder with me and…I can get some more tunes. I am going to be there for just a few days…16 to the 20th .

Jim,
There’s a session on Sunday afternoons starting around 3pm at Ri Ra in Bethesda - http://www.rira.com/locations/bethesda/. Not sure if it is happening St. Patrick day weekend, but I believe so. It’s easy to get to off the red line. Otherwise, the only other sessions that are happening while you are here are Monday nights at Nanny’s and Tuesdays at McGinty’s.

thanks BrendanB.
maybe I’ll see you at Nanny’s. That is the closest one to where I will be.
