We went to the Altamont Fair the other day (wet, muddy, tons of fun) and after the demolition derby ( ! ) we heard the Albany based Hair of the Dog. They played a heck of a set to a damp but appreciative crowd. Char and I had heard them a couple of years back and recall them as being more rock and less Irish, but Friday’s set was quite Irish.. Great performances, tight 4 part harmonies and nice stage presence. Check out their website:

Looking at their CDs…how are they for whistling, Paul?

With that many CDs to their name, they must have been around for a while.

A great little Band there with a lovely and eclectic bunch of songs.
I was just enjoying MTA there myself when I saw Moxys Post,and it had been a while for me as well.

Small world. Pity they are so far away from here.

Alas, nary a whistle in sight.. although if I ever get to talk to them I’ll see what I can do to remedy that! :laughing:
