Seery Flutes (and a new whistle)

Just as a matter of interest, Flute maker Desi Seery is planning/hoping to attend the opening of my new ‘store’ in Adare on 20th July (7pm, Adare, village hall).

He will be bringing his wonderful Delrin flute and exciting new polymer whistle (and a whistle player, I believe) with him. The new whistle is in black Delrin (is there any other colour) with silver metal work and is a real beauty. I should have a photo on the site in few weeks time.

Desi stresses upon me that it takes a ‘strong blower’ to get the best out of it (as does the flute). He played them both for me himself recently in his workshop, and the hairs stood up on the back of my neck. Actually, I have none on the top of my head - but that’s irrelevant!

If he can’t attend the opening, he’s sending me the flute and whistle in advance.

Anyone who may be in the area is welcome to attend.

How did the visit go Steve?

Yeah, we’ve all been waiting, like, 3 YEARS for a report

Yup, white.

Acetal, the common name for Delrin, comes in many colors.
