The maker’s name is Boisvert; French for greenwood. He calls his whistles “Greenwoods”. I just sold my Greenwood. Sorry.
Careful Emrys…these whistles vary considerably. I had to return one that was unplayable in public due to a distinct buzz in the upper range.
Thanks for the heads up. I know what you mean. I’ve played a Greenwood that was one of the best instruments I’ve ever played. And then, I’ve played one other that was not particularly good at all.
My 2 Boisverts are my all time favorite whistles although the C whistle didn’t begin that way. Check out my post of Oct 4th for the story. If you get a Boisvert that is not up to your expectations I would advise you to contact David. It may take some time due to his medical problem but he takes a lot of pride in his work to satisfy. BTW these would be the last whistles I would ever sell.
