Any one know if boisvert/greenwood whistles are still being made? Or how to contact him? Thanks
I think he’s only offering them when he has them. Which is not a regular occurrence. He’s a member here.
The website… is a little outdated but his contact info is there.

BTW, I own the plum whistle 2nd from the right. A really nice whistle.
Peter has it right.
As far as I know, David is making “what he wants, when he wants”. Instruments are offered for sale provided no one else has already spoken for them. There is a “wish list” form on David’s website. I have no idea how that actually works but it is a way to notify David of your existence and to show an interest in his work. It is pretty much all explained on his website. His contact info is there as well. I have not seen anything new from David in a while though. So I wouldn’t start holding my breath if I were you.

I owned a Boisvert whistle in D made from purpleheart for some time. It was a nice whistle. It was well made and played well but a bit quiet for my tastes. As is the case with these things Greenwood whistles may not be for everyone out there. I liked it though.
Hope that helps.

Well he does not answer email nor pm. His web page is way out of date. So ---- I can only think that he is presently not interested in making nor selling whistles. Maybe he will respond here ! Soooooo , any one have a greenwood for sale?
You can think what you want. If you had a sense of David and his personal history you might give him the benefit of the doubt. Patience is a virtue for good reason.
They do come up every year or so. A Thin Weasel in Bb might be easier to find.

I have been trying to find a Bb thin weasel for years. Any body have one of those for sale? Too bad that Paul Busman doesn’t sell a Bb. And, would like to hear from David concerning his greenwood whistles.
I gotta ask: Does his telephone number not work/is out of date?
Bob
Yes----the phone number works.
I have owned two of his whistles. One I picked up from him at his shop in Minnesota. There is a Mcdonalds within walking distance of his home/shop that he has coffee at if your up that way. His whistles are worth waiting for. ![]()
I have one of those, and it’s maybe the single best whistle I’ve ever played, any make, any key. I wish I could make them too. Maybe some day but don’t hold your breath…
Have you tried? If so, I’m curious what special qualities you feel you haven’t been able to replicate. (With apologies for the thread hijack.)
