Thanks for that, Steampacket!
The impressive Harrington played by Cian Talty:

Nice sound from the Harrington played by Cian. Is the chanter original and untouched? It looks like it’s missing some keys, and the windcap looks to be of a later date? How did Martin Talty get this set? It’s not the “haunted” set given to Pedar O’Loughlin by Leo is it?

It came through Br. Gildas.

Thanks Peter, I understand  Brother Gildas must have had an impressive collection of pipes and chanters. What happened when he passed away, did he donate them to deserving pipers, to a museum, or was there an auction?

Had an angry e-mail response today from a pipemaker I’ve never heard of, when I wrote telling him to remove my photos from his photo page, he’d put them up without asking permission. He’s removed them now. Anyway he did have some of his own photos of the Harrington set at Cliffe Castle, Keightley, before it was stolen. Has this stolen Harrington set ever resurfaced?

Here’s Ronan Brown’s fine Harrington set photographed by Ronan. This must be the set sent to Leo Rowsome by Al Purcell’s dad in exchange for a concert pitch rowsome set.
