I would like more pics of their “products”. All I have are those from Fr. D´Arcy´s Obsession-sites and of Sean Folsom´s believed to be Brown-set. All pics are very welcome.
Information on them I found here:

Don´t get confused by the many colours

Thanks for that link - didn’t know there was a Wikipedia page on Patsy. Wally Charm wrote me just now saying he’s about to print an article on him in the next Piper’s Review.
I created a Talk page for that Wiki article, with some comments about it.
Folsom´s pipes we think are Hennelly, who had some strange notions. Or perhaps he worked somebody’s set over.
Kevin-is that the 4 reg set that Sean plays??
Hi my fellow pipers…
I’m just writing to say that my set is not by Patsy Brown (RIP).
Jim McGuire, a man I acknowledge as an expert on the Taylor Brothers Pipes, thinks my set is by Patrick Henley (RIP).
I, myself, have wanted it to be by the Taylors…as I had purchased the set in April of 1976, from Mickey Zekley,
(former owner of "Lark-in-the Morning"music store).
who advertised the set as being by the Taylors, and, as the set has many of the features of the “Taylor” style of construction (i.e. ribbon style keys on the regulators, etc.).
Thus, it was Mickey’s, AND my belief at the time, that the set WAS by the Taylor Brothers, but now, it has been demoted
to merely “Tayloresque” a euphemistic term that I now
like to append to the set (and quite a few others like it).
Mickey has told me so many stories over the years, about how the set came to him, one of the stories, involved the owners of June Appal Records, and that did not check out (and I called both of the owners), so I simply can’t believe anything Mickey says about the set…Now I think I read somewhere on the internet that he believes it to be by Patsy Brown.
Well… I have seen enough of that man’s work to say that my set is NOT by Mister Brown (tho’ he did make many “Tayloresque” sets, himself, natch).
The main thing about the set is that I have been playing for 31 years now,
and it IS a great set of Pipes, no matter who may, or may NOT..have made it.
Check out Van Morrison’s “Beautiful Vision” album, where I played the Pipes for the song “Celtic Ray”.
My solo on that track, was like the standard type of “Van Morrison Tenor Sax Solo”, that I used to play on Alto and Tenor Saxes, in early 1970s Rock Bands, that “covered” some of Van Morrison’s “big band” material.
Lucky for me, the song happened to be in G major, so it was very
easy to play something “Jazzy”, on my “Tayloresque” set of Pipes !
(I mention this song, because I think it is easily “downloaded” on the internet)
As always, piperly yours,
Sean Folsom
Thanks for the information regarding your set Sean.
