I have been scouring the internet for sheet music or whistle tabs for
Sé Fáth Mo Bhuartha, aka Tis the reason for my sorrow, aka Tis the cause of my sorrow.
Does anyone have the notes???

Try this. All the words plus the tune in ABC format. If you’re not familiar with ABC notation, try copying and pasting into something like the Tune-O-Tron (or whatever they call it) on concertina.net.

Here it is.

I tried the ABC converter, all it gave me was the title and author’s name?

While you are in the converter page, take out all those pesky carriage returns between lines of text, then hit “submit” and it should read fine…

Oh, and for future searches and translations using concertina.net, what Steve means is for you to take out all the line spaces, so that you are left with no spaces at all between the lines. You need to copy and paste all of the text from the “X1:” to the end of the ABCs themselves, and you need to leave no line spaces, even between the title block of text and the ABCs.

For instance, putting it into the converter box, you’d need to make sure it looks like the following before you hit “transcribe” or “translate” or whatever that button says …
