Hey all,
For those of you haven’t looked at their site recently they have a new offer up with 2 for 1 lessons. Thats right if you buy one lesson you get the second free. If youve thought I’ve getting lesson nows the time to take advantage(sheesh this sounds like a sales pitch).
For those of you who haven’t tried it yet I would recommend it. I just tried a lesson recently and I think they are very well done. If your pretty much self taught like me, the lessons are really great. Even if you have a regular teacher I think you could still benefit from the critique part of it. I mean how many people can say theyve had a world famous traditional irish muscian personally review their playing. Pretty cool. Anyway hope this was a help 4 some1, and I hope I didn’t sound too much like I work for the company ![]()

I too liked their lessons. Well worth the expense.

I thought I would share this response from Conal at Scoiltrad. I’m really excited about this.
Currently the lessons are segmented into Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. Each class features a different tune with ornamentation and variation techniques appropriate to that tune and to the level it is aimed at. There is no suggested order for taking the classes within the levels.
Now, the above is the current status and we are aware that this may not suit many potential students. As a result we are in the process of putting courses together at each level, with a description of each course detailing the tunes and techniques featured. Each course will consist of approximately 12 classes and there will be clearly stated goals for each one. The courses will cover areas such as posture, breathing, embouchure etc as well as a structured approach to building technique. Integral to the courses will be the existing personalised assessment feature where the student submits mp3’s of their playing to the tutor for feedback. These courses will come available during February.
“as well as a structured approach to building technique” …double stoked!
