It was never clear to me whether you could really “see through” the rings. But now it’s plain that you can!

why does the body of the planet seem to obscure the rings in the lower half of the image? It makes it look like the rings are “below” the planet..
That’s what I was talking about. The planet is so bright that you can’t see the rings where they overlap in the picture. The rings are transparent, to a degree.
