we had skunk cabbage up two weeks ago
it has gone back to winter for a while though
This is the trillium we have blooming right now Trillium cuneatum Sweet Betsy. The mottled foliage is a nice echo of the trout lily foliage. I saw my first specimen of this plant in a swamp in South Carolina back in the '70s As I crouched down to get a photo the fire ants discovered my ankles. Could not believe how long those stings last
