Well, Doherty won the match, but the snooker continues, and over, and over, and over…
That’s what I thought, but still snooker. I’m wondering if it was 17:30 their time … i.e., 12:30 p for me and 9:30 a for you?
Jeez. And then there’s the whole Daylight Savings Time thing.
Well, on the plus side, I now have a personal world clock on my desktop. Which tells me it’s 11:07 in Dublin …
sigh, me too…
My webtv console kept freezing, so I kept reopening it…now it won’t come up. When I click on the thing for it, the schedule pops up instead! Any advice?
Ditto my console, too. Maybe it’s all of us hitting the thing at once? Anyway, if they figure program ratings based on web hits, they’re gonna think the snooker championships are poised to become the next “Survivor”!
yes that’s all I get too, I can see the scene in the TG4 control room.
“Sean, you idjit you’ve left the damn snooker on by mestake!”
“Ah well no harm done it was only that fluty program nobody will miss it…”

Actually, I was getting rather interested in the watching the Gleeson murder show.
Maybe we should email and complain. Sean, ye feckin eejit!
Odd, program should have started 7 minutes ago
I get the same thing after pressing the Beo/live button: this week’s shedule starting with 17 august 02:00am
it’s like there is a gap in the transmission and it just so happened to be during the show we’re all waiting for… Evil Works, I say!
Any chance of it appearing in the archives during the coming days?
It says on the TG4 schedule (one of them anyway) EDT, so I’m still hoping that it will be on at 10:30 Eastern Daylight Time. I don’t know why they would list in EDT, but I certainly hope that’s no mistake.
I have a dial-up connection, so it was stop and go for me, and the snookers was in Gaelic. Even so, I still think I would like to watch some stills of Sam making a flute!
Trying again at 10:30pm and wishing real hard!
I think it depends on where you are…mine says the times in PDT…smart robot!!
A-hah! That explains the time thing.
NOW, since I don’t have any connection at home (life on the farm, ya know) and am getting ready to leave the office, I’m wondering if anyone has any sort of Internet TiVo? ![]()
I’ll be your best friend …

Hey Cathy! My other half knows how to do that kind of thing. He’s out of town with work right now…Argh!
…otherwise I would have had him “recording” it for me…provided that’s possible. I’ll see what I can find out.

Hi Cathy,
I think that it will be arcived, so you will be able to watch it any time you want, at least for the next year. Click the second or third button and scroll down until ya see a Bodhran then click Play. This is part of a series there is one on Concertina, fiddle, and Bodhran (which has a clip of Harry Bradley playing flute with a famous Bodhran player…) ![]()
Thank you for sharing that!
so I can watch it now!
I was so disapointed to have missed it!
but I am so happy because my boyfriend will be able to watch it to now!!!
this is a really cool site!
It’s there or it says it’s there but the programme is … er snooker.
Aaaaaaargh SNOOKER!
Mind you a few down there is a programme with a great flute duet with I think Sean Moloney from the seventies I’d guess by the haircuts and jumpers.
Snooker!!! Probably banned as a ‘foreign game’ by the GAA in times past and there it is being shown live when Sam Murray should be gracing the screen. At least Ken Doherty won ![]()
The Ceird an Cheoil programme on Murray which was a repeat was shown later at 11.45pm local time. There was old footage of Desi Wilkinson on it amongst many others - slim, thick shock of dark hair - gosh, how things change!!! Actually I had pleasure of meeting Desi over the summer and he is one very nice guy.
I hope there’s no kissing involved. ![]()

Geeez, when I click on the Arcive show of Sam Murrey, I get billards! What gives? ![]()
This is too good to miss, I want to see the origins of my flute!
I have sent a message to the webmaster for a fix to the archived link,
cheers,
Simon
Well they are probably asleep now, but maybe tomorrow. ![]()
