Saint Patrick's Day in Japan!

Check it out: http://www.yomiuri.co.jp/dy/features/scene/20070311TDY22001.htm

Tokyo tower lit in green? Wow!

Come hibernophiles of the world! Come fill your bellies with sushi and increase the population of ITM players/dancers so we don’t need to travel more than 2 hours to the closest session :stuck_out_tongue:

FYI a Japan uilleann pipers club is currently being formed.

More news will be available soon.

That’s good news.
Anyway, if you are going to be based in Tokyo, it’s still more than two hours from where I live :stuck_out_tongue: . Here in Kanto region(not including Tokyo and surroundings), as far as I know there is only me and up to the north, Pol in Yamagata prefecture.
That’s why I joked about more people coming here to increase the possibility of meeting each other. Most of you are whether around Tokyo or down to the south.

There are more people around than I expected, and they cover a wide area of Japan.
Toshihiro Tsuruhashi, otherwise known as ‘The Tokyo Uilleann Piper’ and ‘The Piping Professor’, has done a great job of pulling people together from all over Japan.

A website will be up as soon as things get sorted.

There is a temporary forum here. Register and express your opinion.
