Popsnorkle, what on Earth are you doing with that cat??

Its more like:
What on Earth was that cat doing to me?
And the answer is: Getting as much fur as possible in my mouth and on my face! She has this way of flopping in the most inconvenient places, when she isn’t riding around on someone’s shoulders, pretending to be a stole. ![]()
Cindy
It looked like you were in the process of stuffing her up your nose. Or making a bagpipe out of her. ![]()
I’ve heard that’s how bagpipes are made, but I thought they were kidding. ![]()

Scam alert: David’s 7229 is up for sale here for 2.000 USD, NOT!!
http://sandiego.backpage.com/MusicEquipForSale/original-rudall-8-key-irish-flute-only-2000/12290259
wow. That’s amusing. The owner is on the East Coast.
by the way…I still chuckle at this comment from earlier in this thread:
Perhaps the comparison to the $4000 flute on ebay is invalid because no one will buy it for that.
![]()
Someone wanting a great flute would pay it … and did.
And they still have room to resell at a profit if they’d like.
So how does one explain the $7,000 paid for the “regular” Rudall that recently sold at that same auction house Steam got his?
In that case I would have thought someone shouldn’t have paid that much for it … but they did, clearly because they wanted it (and I have a really good idea why they did, but that’s for a whole different discussion some other day).
Hold your breath long enough and you might find a top-notch antique flute for a price comparable to what Steam paid for his (though a 3xxx series or 5xxxx Rudall would have cost much much more). Then again, you might run out of breath, too, waiting for it. ![]()
I should have noted a word of thanks to Steam for pointing out the fraudster.
I love how they said they put the teflon on the joint that morning. Cute.
Aye, I recognised your serial number David. Some fraudsters have a lot of nerve. Here on the Swedish version of Craig’s List there is a person selling what he/she claims is a genuine '58 Gibson Les Paul Standard, a sunburst, which is the holy grail of vintage electric guitars. There is a photo of the guitar and the price is 60.000 USD. The normal price for a '58 Burst is in the region of 250.000 USD. Too good to be true. A search on the net reveals a company that will tastefully age your new Gibson so that it looks like a 65 year old Les Paul Standard, with cracked lacquer, belt buckle wear, worn pick up chrome and yellowed plastic binding.
Heck, I can provide that service. Just give me your guitar, and come back in 65 years …
ROFLMFAO!
oh i like that one, MT! ![]()
seriously, tho…I haven’t figured out how to have photos removed from ebay on a sale so as to minimize the fraudsters.
I’m surprised this one showed up so quickly. They usually just download and save them.
Nowyou know why my RudallRose.com catalogue was removed. I’ve been watermarking every single image to prevent this.
Takes forever as there are hundreds of them.
Yesssss, my precioussss, but we missssses them, we missses them, we doessss…
You do realize there is software (free and otherwise) that will batch watermark images and you could then immediately be done with this, right?
As to removing photos from eBay - they can always download them from while the auction is ongoing. If eBay still lets you host your photos off-site, then you might be able to remove them from that host when the auction is complete. Although eBay may be archiving images to insure customer satisfaction with the purchase.
Kevin Krell
yes, Kev, I did know of the batch stuff…way later than i should have, sadly.
that ebay thieves can take the photos during the auction is a given. My hope is they’d prevent the others from downloading at the moment it sells. As i’ve understood it, the thieves troll for the high finish prices, then knowing it’s a high ticket item, they’ll download. Otherwise they’d be stripping the whole site all day long for nothing.
thanks for the heads up on the program. I really should have another look.
“Heck, I can provide that service. Just give me your guitar, and come back in 65 years …” MTGuru
You don’t get it do you? ![]()

Best wishes.
