"Rudall and Rose Spare Parts" on eBay!!!!!

Thanks again, Denny. The main point of my last post was that I did in fact know how to make such a search, but did not think of doing so - my brain is still wired to doing most things in what would formerly have been the more direct, non-virtual way - default reaction = have communication with people, so ask as a first step (as in real life), before going off to use research resources, as it may be easier/faster. That is no longer necessarily true, but it is a life-time habit that a couple of years of computer-dabbling has not yet over-ridden in all contexts. Some things I would now automatically research on-line at least in addition to in hard copy reference material, but the possibilities of the Web are not yet hard-wired into my approach. Even if I hadn’t used the Forum’s search facility before, I’m sure I’d have sussed how to use it had I actually thought of doing so in the first place! (Compare to recent exchange between Denny and sbfluter on the “Clips” sticky.)

I had noticed…

I blame it on the education system here, I spent a lot of time in the library.

Wow… I got out bid considerably on those R&R parts.

Was it anyone here that got’em?

That was almost 700.00 bucks.

I believe “deltaminusone” is not unknown to members of this forum!!! (Though he doesn’t seem to be active here.) He’s selling one of the three Siccamas around on eBay this week (the one still live), and one or two bamboo oddities… Have a look at his ebay sales listings or feedback - his identity is no secret.

BTW, for the hell of it and more in hope than expectation, I stuck in a snipe on the Boosey low Bb from the same seller, but came nowhere near, much as I expected. Looked like a monster! It was probably HP anyway, though. It got snaffled by a UK based regular buyer whose identity is a mystery to me.

Maybe these might be of interest as well

David

I did have a glimmer of hope to pick up those parts though… now dashed.

Oh, to have unlimited funds.

I just end up spending it on floots, booze and whimins.

What a horrible life that would be.

David… are peeking at my “Watching Item” list somehow?
