Thx, Emer. Roland has to be one of my top faves.

Thanks Emer, great stuff altogether!

… who’s Roland? ![]()
Ronan was one of the instructors, and therefor, one of the performers at concert during last year’s St. Louis Tionól. He was incredible!.. and as much fun to watch play as to listen to.
Thanks for the heads up emer. Stuff like this reminds me of why I like the pipes.
It’s sort of interesting to hear Lyric running a commercial for the present Music Network tour of Mave Donnelly, Peter O Loughlin, Sean Corcoran and ‘the innovative percussionist Ronan Browne’.

great stuff.
my favourite piper
thanks
A single reel? First time I’ve come across that term. I’ve heard Pat Ward’s played as a slide or as a jig in 12/8 (is that a single or a hop jig?)
basic single reel is one where each part is only played once, i.e. ab ab ab, apparently some are written as 2/4 and mistaken for polkas, but I can’t think of any examples of either type at the moment - the mind has gone blank again.
