I was hoping somebody out there might have some suggestions for a NYC venue for working on my R&R. I really just need to get it repadded, re-corked, keys cleaned and polished, and have a couple of repaired cracks checked out carefully. I am hesitant sending the flute through the mail. Thanks, Arbo.

Although we are not in New York, we are back in the business of repairing R&R and other fine old flutes.
We have moved from Maine and Amsterdam to Los Angeles, where we have set up our flute shop again. For the last five years or so we have been managing our son’s rock band, so we have been out of touch with our friends in the flute world.
We send beautiful flutes through the mail all the time (even crystal flutes). It is always a bit unnerving, but we have done it for 25 years. The modern tracking system is a great calming factor.
We do not recommend using the European post, however.
It is always better to have a local repairperson for your flutes, but please remember us if you cannot find anyone locally.
