I’ve bought an old flute that needs some work (pads, corks, some cracks) and at the moment is located in the UK. Any suggestion? I’d like a fast work and possibly not too expensive (but I might not have a choice). Thanks
Edit: actually, I’ve already payed the shipment, so why do I care about it (oh, taxes)? Any restorer in Europe will be fine 
Jon Dodd in Co. Clare has a good reputation. I have a flute with him right now. The best thing is to call him at the number on his website first, and discuss what needs to be done.

How long does it take him to do the work?
I think he’s generally quick, but it obviously depends on the nature of the work. He hasn’t given me a completion date yet (I only just sent the flute), so I don’t know. He’ll give a rough estimate if you phone him.
