Reeds and C#

It took care of some weird notes in the scale, c# was one of them. But I have an old Charles Roberts chanter and it’s possible that he changed his design into a wider bore for concert pitch, I really don’t know.
I think most chanters benefit from a tapered staple. Although with some chanters it ‘just’ improves the intonation and sometimes not so much the tuning. I know that on my reedmaking website I suggest using a 4 mm ID tube as staple but that website was intended to keep the process as simple as possible and rolling tapered staples is still best I think.
