recommendations for a Low F?

Colin Goldie!

Well, I guess I’ll actually respond to the thread I started (what a concept) sorry, I’ve been busy. Thanks for all the advice, I’m now checking out my bank account and seeing what exactly I can afford (having purchases roughly 510 dollars worth of whistles in the last two months, maybe I’d better slow down  ). I’m currently leaning towards the hoovers and the serpents, but if anyone has a grinter they’d like to find a new home for… Burkes are also vaguely tempting. Overtons are out, despite their volume, I suspect that most of my F playing will be during the winter seasons and outside (ha, try keeping it warm in that setting!)

Burke’s your whistle, unless Hoovers are as lightweight - never seen one. They warm easily. But there again, there’s winter and there’s WINTER. Depends how winter you mean. There again with the delrin tip at least it won’t freeze to your lip  .

Edited for stupidity…does Mike DO a delrin tipped Low F yet…mine hasn’t got one?!

Hoover F’s are PVC last time I checked. Im not even sure if you have to warm up pvc…
Anyway, theres no real WINTER in california… just winter.
I’ll keep the burkes in mind though

Mack could probably make you a whistle out of anything, if you just asked him.
